Default In memory of gilby1955 (Bill Coleman)

There was a great time had today at the bigeyecrappieman/ crappie.com social. I will let rod post about it and the results and I will add more picts. This post is for remembering gilby (Bill Coleman). A member who lost his life unexpectedly this week unloading his boat at high rock . Today we put out a donation jar for anyone to give to his wife Jan and the family. Everyone there went above and beyond donating to this great man. A total of $412.00 was put in the jar. Wow. You guys are awesome.

Definitely a great guy to talk to and fish with.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I have had the great pleasure of fishing and associating first hand with this awesome and very genuine and caring man. There can be no doubt where he is today, as we were able to talk at length on the water about many things including our love of God and all of His awesome creation and the wonders thereof, including our love of crappie fishing and much about the skills that seem so elusive; yet so required to ever really get your head and hand on it. I was blown away by this news of his passing and my prayers and heartfelt condolences are with his family and huge circle of friends that I know will all miss him greatly.

Bill truly loved crappie fishing and all types of fellowship with other people and it always showed. It was a blessing and a pleasure to share my boat and what will sadly be last and only trip on Harris Lake with him. Here's a link to our trip that I will remember for a long time to come: http://www.crappie.com/crappie/north...ke-maybe-trip/

God has truly caught a keeper. Rest in Peace Gilby1955... You will be remembered.

It was pretty tough that day... no doubt about it... but an awesome time nonetheless that I wouldn't take anything for.
