Default diffrent jigs for diffrent lakes

A buddy and I were discussing how the kalins grubs and the bgbs catch most of our fish when were on tillery and badin.. but when were on wylie the baits like flick tails and southeren pro crappie stingers do most of the work... and we catch very litte on the kalins grubs in places we know theres fish put a stinger back on and the catching starts again.. anybody with similar experiences?

I've found that curly tails do better in stained water for me. I've never fished the lakes you spoke of. Are they all relatively same water color?

Over the years I have put together 6-8 colors that I use in tubes and curltails that have worked about everywhere for that reason. If those don't work I call Chief and borrow his minnow bucket.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I catch more fish on the kalins baby shad than any thing else, monk has them. out fish any thing you got if you know what to do. I got every brand of baby shad, curtly tails and i got the flick tale too.I used to be a big flick tale fisherman, but now i hate them, boat is full of baits going to waste . Now it is a different color at different lakes, color does make a different. Just catch over 100 crappie monday on wylie with that kalin baby shad.
