Same story for me yesterday evening on James. Caught plenty yellow perch and white perch but only 2 crappie though they were hogs. Marked lots but few bites. I did see a guy catch a few on a tree lap close to where I marked fish.

I probably passed you. I own the white and blue Stratos and was by myself. I fished Parkers Creek, S turns, botth brances of Beaver and finally found fish willing to bite on the right hand side as you leave beaver creek, past the main point, and the the beach area. There is a large rock out cropping on bank and it drops into the ole White Oak Riverbed. Fished in 35 foot of water 25 to 29 feet deep. Water temp was 48 degrees. Marked a lot of fish there and caught my limit in about 30 minutes. I don't know how their catching fish in 12/ 20 feet? I didn't mark a single fish in that depth range. I found some 52 degree water but no fish. In my opinion their still a little confused, but after this week their confusion will end, and they'll be in that 15 foot range and easier to catch.

It was a tough day indeed. We were fishing in the older blue sea nymph V-hull with 3 guys aboard. Tried Beaver, 64 bridge and white oak. Caught around 25 but only 5 keepers. The bite was very subtle and if you were not quick you missed them. The magic depth for us was 27-33 feet and fishing about 25 feet down.
