Not nice wishing others had same results. Lol
Fished all day, water temps ranged from 47-53. We fished deep and shallow up and down creeks, tried jigs and minnows. We long lined, tight lined even anchored up. We picked apart brush piles, docks, rocks, ledges, etc. We tried everything we knew and couldn't buy a crappie today. Hope others had the same results .

Meaning........I hope it wasn't just us that couldn't find the bite. If everyone else was catching fish and we weren't, then that'd be a little frustrating, if you know what I mean. But everyone we talked to said, after 10am what little bite there was, turned off quick. Even at weigh in for the bass tournament, all the "Professionals" said the same thing, what little was caught was before 10am.
I had the same results on Hickory Sat morn. Did not get on the water till ten and could not get a bite anywhere and got tired of fighting the wind and just called it a day around one. It will get better!!!!!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners
I hit Badin yesterday afternoon for a couple hours and didn't do much for crappie either. Caught 4 catfish, 2 white perch, 2 yellow perch, and 1 bass, but not a single crappie.
There was a ton of bait in the mouth of the cove I was fishing, but the only thing hanging around was cats. Still learning.
Ron and I fished Badin on Friday the 14th. My plan was to shoot docks as I had picked up a few a couple of days prior. I wanted to beat the weekend warriors to the fishing holes. We beat docks for several hours, not even a nibble. After speaking to several other bass and crappie fisherman with similar results we headed in. I figured Saturday wasn't going to be much different. Bring on the warmer weather!!!
I only fish the two best days of the year, when its raining and when its not!
