    Default Rhodhiss Fri 3/15

Decided to go try an afternoon trip to Rhodhiss to see where the fish are starting to stage at in this pre-spawn pattern. Water temp was 49-51 deg a little murky and water level up some. I was fishing around docks and fallen trees with jigs. Caught 7 fish total around docks with 10' water with brush. Kept the 5 biggest for a crappie dinner were 9-11 inch fish. Was not a bad expermintal trip, wind was blowing pretty hard so got to work on boat control also. They seemed to prefer a darker color jig in the reds and pinks, casted at them and biting on the fall. Hope this info helps anyone out because this is where I have learned, and going out and fishing Gonna go down on Hky today and see if can find em there. Good luck to all, it is getting better!!!!!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Yep, gonna go back to the Hiss on Sunday with my son. Tried Hickory today and did not do as well, only 2 keepers out of 5 bites and 4 fish caught. The ones that I kept had some good eggs in em, it ain't gonna be long and they will be on the banks. Probly gonna start fishing a little shallower to see if they have started moving in some. Glad you got your work done Hillbilly, hope to see ya on the lake, or better yet we need to plan another trip to HR!!!
