    Default Buckhorn reservoir

Any one fished here lately. I'm thinking about heading down there Saturday and try to drown some minnows. Any ideas on areas or fish depth? This will be my first trip fishing since having heart surgery on October 15. So I want to stay close to home.

I fish Buckhorn pretty regularly, once a month or so, last time was two weeks ago. I only caught 3 crappie but several bass. I was fishing in the north end in about eight feet of water.

Thanks for the info. I haven't fished buckhorn since it was flooded. A good friend of mine is taking me. He says he has been catching some real nice ones. Enough to not go to falls anymore. So I'll see Saturday. I'll post a report when I get back. We're you using minnows or jigs?

As far as I know anything that floats. I've seen bass boats with 250's and what looks like bath tubs with trolling motors.

Thanks Bobby J. That's great info. This lake used to be two parts upper and lower. It was flooded to expand its size around 1999 I think. I hope your info will get some of the crappie.com members to check it out.
