Great night on Lake James

Dropped anchors @ 9pm sunday night in 27' of water & put 3 lights in the water. Bite was steady all night on minnows. Caught 65 crappie with 20 over 10 inches. Best fish was 14". Took my brother & his daughter & we had our best night ever on James. Caught fish from 6' down to 25' consistantly throughout the night. Best fish were right on the bottom. Called it a night @ 2 am.

Good catch. I also fished James Sunday night and after all the pleasure boaters left it was a nice evening. We did about like you and kept 15 good ones plus about 12:00 pm a bunch of large white bass came through and we caught 6 of them and on crappie rods it was quite a battle. Fished Lake James when I was pastoring in Marion, NC. Great place to fish. Lots of memories.
