    Default Lower Roanoke river - Jamesville Area Saturday 4/21


    Forgot to post my report! We went down to Jamesville... the baitstore only had frozen herring... started fishing above jamesville for a couple hours and had one Striper (over22") and a bowfin.. moved to our spot downstream of Jamesville and managed 2 keeper at 19 & 21" plus another over 22" about 5 catfish... our bait started to turn to "jerkey" about 1 and the bite stopped for us except for whatever is down there just nibbling on anything you put on... all and all a slow day..

    I think my new quest is going to be Walleye from Lake Gaston. Been meaning to go there for quite a few years now....

    Thanks for the update Redboat, Im going to rent a house on Gaston in June will give the old walleye a try....

    Sounds good to me. I've got a house @ 5 miles from the stoplight in Jamesville right on hwy 171.
