Default 17 1\2 inch slab. buggs.

fished buggs island thursday and friday. upper end of lake thursday. no real pattern on depth. caught fish from 5' to 25'. really had to hunt for them. caught lots when we found them. fished brush and around docks most fish were off of the brush and docks.used jigs with no color better than the other.caught 15 from 13 to 15 inches,4 from 15 to 16 inches, and 1 at 17 1/2 inches and lots of smaller fish. big fish had all spawned. some of the smaller ones still had eggs. my 3 plus pound fish only weighed 2.6 pounds. oh well she needed to lay those eggs for future slabs. went to grassy creek friday looking for new spots and more big fish. found a few nice fish in the 13 to 14 inch range but fish were more scatterd. water temps both days were 62 to 67 deg.

Super good fish! I'll call that one a crappiesaurusrex! Sounds like you had a wonderful day even without the biggun!
