    Default Tar River Reservoir

Can anyone give me any info on this reservoir? How is the crappie fishing? Is there a good population of white crappie? I have only caught black crappie as that is all I have in my neck of the woods. Is there camping close by and is there plenty to do in the area for everyone in the family to enjoy? Thanks.CF

Thats pretty close by but I've never fished there... I have read some reports on here of some nice fish being caught...(Not sure if white or black though) hopefully you'll get a hit on this soon

I'm just learning the place, started fishing it this year. It is a great place that is growing on me fast. Its a nice quiet place with lots of wildlife around. Close to Rocky Mount. I really haven't had a hay day on it yet as far as fishing but this goofy spring has slowed things down for me everywhere. A camp ground on it would be awesome but I don't know of one close by. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

CF,I use to fish it often before Buggs, its a great little lake. The dock fishing was very good with nice size fish, you can cover it easy in a day. All season were good to me. No campsite on lake
