Good report and nice catch.
Got to Barton's Creek Ramp at 1:30PM, Talked to a guy at the ramp who showed me his livewell full of nice crappie - probably 70 or so. He said he caught his fish on woody structure in 12' of water on the main lake. tried a few main lake sunken trees with no bites. Obviously I did not find the right tree. Went up a creek where I caught fish last spring. Went way up into 2-3 feet of water. Caught 2 small bass and watched giant carp jumping every where. Went back downstream to a stump field in 5 feet of water. Drifted minnows under a cork among the stumps and caught 1 in an hour. Decided to change up and put a 1/16 ounce chartreuse jig on my 12' jig pole and went from stump to stump dipping the jig tipped with a minnow right beside each stump. The fish were right beside the stumps on the bottom 5 feet deep. I mean 2 inches from the stump. Caught 10 or so dipping. When my arm got tired from dipping that pole I went back to a couple of stumps where I caught several and caught a few more on minnows under a cork right beside the stumps. a slow day compared to the guys who knew what they were doing, but not a bad day for me. Had a great time on a beautiful afternoon in a real pretty spot. Got back to the ramp at dark and loaded the boat in the dark. Got home too tired and hungry to clean fish. Cleaned the fish this morning before church. I hope I posted the pictures right.
Good report and nice catch.
It was a good trip. And thank you for saying that you cleaned the fish before you went to church.
Have a great week.

Nothing wrong with that! Great report and pictures!
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
First you dip 'em and then you lip 'em. Good job!
Gotta go, fish on!
yummy!! should've shown the finish product!!
Thanks for the report, glad you got on some fish!
lets get-r-dun on some crappie fishin...
not sure how I missed this thread.. Good Job! I am pretty sure I know what creek you were in!
I figured most Falls regulars might recognise that creek. It is not exactly a secret hideaway. I had company off and on all afternoon but never felt crowded.
