Default 3-11-12 Beautiful Day on Norman

Got a late start and didn't hit the water until 10am. Fished North of the 150 bridge. Trolled a little and fished some docks that had brush. The dock fishing was the more productive however the trolling produced the bigger fish. Finished the day with 18, most in the 10-11 inch range. Slip bobber with neon orange jig tipped with a minnow, about 3 ft down. Beautiful day to be on the water!! Name: crappie.jpg

What is the method of trolling, and rig do you use while trolling for Crappie? I have tired and tired but trolling does not produce, i usally end up with a snag off the bottom. Sounds like fun, i was on the water that sat, and caught eight, dock fishing with meanows.

KingKong don't feel too bad man. I fished hard the first two times out this year and caught nothing also. It can be hard to figure out, I lucked up and found a few productive brush piles that I've been going back to.

USMCsee, without getting into a trolling 101 thread I'll just say that trolling is really simple, the way I do it. Throw a jig...any jig, preferably 1/16 with either a minnow or plastic on it, out the back of the boat and use the trolling motor to pull it around. About as slow at the TM will go. Also, if your not getting snagged your not getting crappie!
