Went to Jordan 3/9 with my dad. Got on the water @ 9:30am. It was brisk and the water conditions were difficult, very windy, with white caps at times. Due to the wind, we were focusing on shallow water in protected coves because we did not enjoy the tough conditions. No takers until after 4pm. Once they started, we had a few bites but even those were very finicky bites, very easy to miss the fish. Ended up with 8 fish. They were black crappie and had good size to them.

Water temps started around 52 at Crosswinds and averaged about 54 up at Farrington. Rode through Bush Crk but not all the way back, but noticed the temps rose from 54-57 the farther back we went into the creek.

Charted huge schools from 15'-18' outside of the Farrington Bridge at the drops but could not get them to unlock the jaws for any of our offerings. My Uncle reported he saw similar schools at the bridge at Whiteoak, also with lock jaw.

In hindsight, I would have liked to have explored down towards the South to see how things looked there towards the big S curves. If anyone could affirm that notion, I would appreciate it.

It was great to get away from work and spend the day with my dad. He was in high spirits after 4pm because he caught all but 1 of our fish. It seemed they liked a heavier presentation than what I was using. He had 1/16z Chartreuse RoadRunner w/ curly tail grub and tipped with a minnow. I was casting to the same spot but not getting bit using 1/16z crappie pro jig and Garland's baby shad. I've noticed that Roadrunners fish heavier than advertised due to the swivels, blade, etc. Switched up and matched bait for bait and caught my 1 and only keeper before we had to head home. It was better than getting skunked. However, I do feel much better today after reading that Jordan has been tough on a lot of us and it's not neccessarily just me. I'll be back at it in a few weeks and will be looking for some payback.

[Used the new to us Humminbird and it worked great. Thanks again, Lewis.]
