    how can you tell the black from the white crappie if you can't count the spines?

    I've been told that white crappies spot form lines from top to bottom and the black crappies spots dont

    Yea thanks for the pics and now I can definley tell the differance between the blacks and whites. Nice mess of fish and I bet they were good eatin!!!
