    2012 02/04 Saturday Tournament
    Jordan Lake.03
    Time: 07:30-15:30
    Total Time: 7:00
    Best Bite: 08:15
    Water Temp: 52.5F
    Keepers: 07
    Size: 10.00"-13.50"
    Verdict: harvested
    Depth: 1' in 2.5' and 16-20' in 16-20'
    Wind: SSW 5-10
Bait: 1/8 oz chart head/chart based tube
Bait: 1/16 oz chart-based feather tail
    Bait: hook and minnow
    Bait: -

PG24 (Donald) and I fished the Good ol' Boys tourney today. It was pretty chilly and more so when the rain came. The bite was slow both shallow and deep. I feel like I'm zeroing in on these fish, however, since Donald and I were fishing over the winning water at one point, and caught our 2 biggest in similar water. I think only our smallest keeper came on minnows--the rest on feather tail and tube jigs. I'll be out again next weekend and will be fishing Rod King's next tourney with my Dad in a couple weeks.

Thank you for the report. I haven't been on the water yet this year.

The lake was glass this morning--a far cry from now. Well, the water has cooled 5F in 7 days. The fish, I found, had moved out a bit. I only got 2 bites--but both ended up dinner. My deep fryer thought I had forgotten about it. I got off the lake before the wind picked up. When I got home I spent the rest of the day working in the garden.

Looking forward to Rod King's tourney next Saturday. Hope to see you all there!

My Dad flew out from Illinois to fish the good ol' boys tourney with me. It was slow fishing for us during practice and the tournament...but it was encouraging to have been fishing the winning water. Dad and I were fishing 3' water, but Rod was fishing 1.5' water. We figured out where the fish would be, but technique needs some work. As always, It was great having my Dad visit. He also helped me in the yard and around the new house. I won't be fishing much for a while--Open House at work, and a plant collection trip after that.
