    Default W. Kerr Scott

My kids have a permit for a youth hunt at Warrior Creek and we will be there the weekends of the 6th and 12th of Nov. We have never been on W. Kerr Scott and was wondering if it is worth bringing the boat with us. If someone could pm me with some information I would appreciate it. Also if someone knows anything about the Warrior Creek youth hunt I would appreciate some information about that also. Thanks.

nice little lake to fish. yeah i'd bring the boat. get a map from local bait shops. shows location of a few brush piles. we have only tightlined with moderate success. most cast or cork brush piles. holds some good size fish. once the action in our local lakes cools off we are planning a trip up there.

We had planned on camping at one of the recreation areas but just saw they are closed for the season. Any recommendations of a decent place to camp or stay that is reasonably priced?

You might be in luck my friend. We camped at Bandits Roost on the 14th and there is a notice that winter camping will be allowed. No water at the sites, just electricity. Water will be turned on at bath houses and dump stations. There is no internet reservation, cash or check only. We were told to call the W. Kerr Scott Visitor Center to check on availability. Hope this helps. We're thinking about another run over there in November.
