    Default Sea bass

Took the family to ocean isle this past weekend. Didn't have any luck catching flounder. I saw an ad in a coupon for Hurricane fishing fleet. Half day charter for 30.00 bucks. Thought this will be a joke. Man was I wrong.

Got to the marina in Calabash around 7:30 and boarded the hurricane II. To my surprise it was a 90 foot boat. About 30 people. Thought boy wouldn't I look good riding down high rock lake in that. LOL. Headed out 15 miles to the first spot of 9. Dropped the lines and bam. Everyone was catching fish. Kept 4 around 15" and one other one they said was tasty. Limit was 12". They even provided the bait and tackle. Also took the fish off the hooks in the price of 30.00. Got back to the marina about 12:30. They also fillet them.

Thought this would be sometim fun to do if you visit anywhere near Calabash. Only 25 min from myrtle. Will post picts.

Pete, is that white grunts mixed in with the sea bass?
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Try tubbs inlet next time for the flounder; we were catching them pretty good in there easter. It is the last place on the left before the sunset bridge going toward myrtle. Be careful it is shallow
