Fished Sunday 7am to 1pm with my father and 2 boys (it doesn't take long for a 10 & 12 yr old to start outfishing their dad We kept 80 (all 11" - 13", 2 at 14") thru back just as many (used clickers to count) with most released being above the 10" size limit. Mainly kept the 11" & 12" ornery black males as they were they were the same size as many of the females.

    Launch Location: Farrington
location : biggest fish came from Morgan's Creek in the a.m., then finished the day at both beavers and Parkers. Fish in White Oak were on the small size for the most part.

lures: 1/16th oz chart and red willow leaf road runners with brass blades w\ blk\chrt trip tips.
1/16th oz chartreuse head with junebug and blk\chrt BG Strollers &trip tips, and the new rage tails.

**bought 10 doz minnows that we didn't use. They made a difference for the last few weeks, but now it's now its artificial only from here on out.

Would like to offer a helpful tip for those fishing with kids...they love casting! I like to troll 8 rods, but as soon as I hit a spot where 4 or more rods go off, I stop and let them cast with rods already made up with jigs (RR's) and 5lb power pro..their smiles get bigger with every fish they catch

There have been a few reports posted from Saturday at Jordan, but they have been bumped to page 2 by everything else. I have not noticed anything from Sunday.
Life jackets can be uncomfortable, but much less so than drowning.

Fished with son Saturday (home from UNCW on Spring Break) trolling 4 rods in my 14ft canoe (after going through hassle of getting it titled/registerd for electric motor--glad that's over!).Big crowd there at White Oak but everybody was real sportmanlike, lot of fish but more throwbacks than keepers (kept around 4). Had a great couple of hours and father/son fellowship that is all too rare any more. Nothing like a bit of father/son adventure to catch up on life. We picked up trash to leave the lake better than we found it.

Sunday fished another Jordan creek 430pm to dark, it was "on" . Could only keep 3 rods longlining in the water most of the time. hot color was black and white body with chartreuse tail (tube style) on a grey head 1/8 oz. Bigger fish seemed to be in 5-10 FOW (judged by sticking 10ft rod in water--no fishfinder on my rig!. Forgot bucket for keeping fish, left it in the truck, had to toss keepers in bottom of canoe. When time to go home, turned canoe upside down to portage back to truck, I slimed myself real good! Must be why my coworkers avoided me at work today. Will post pix of my trolling rig, it's ugly but it works.

Thanks to all who contribute to the board on a regular basis.
