my hats off to ya for even trying. log jam....wow. i've never encountered that and i've been fishing her for 30 years. glad you got into some fish. be careful.
Got to tamarac at 9:45 this morning and started dodging floaters in the mud on my way out towards the main channel. Got stopped a little bit short of the island by a log jam about 3 football fields long and 2 wide. Couldn't find a way through it so I turned around and starting hitting mouths of coves in 2nd creek. Picked up tons of 6-9 inch fish in the mouths anywhere from 19-13 feet deep but fish were suspended halfway down no matter the depth. Once the log jam was split up enough to get through around 1 I made my way up river due to the huge log jam now blocking most of the main channel south of second creek. Went up crane creek until the water lightened just a little and dropped in the lines. Still picking up little fish in the cove mouths suspended. Moved back south from there around 4 and ended up at Sailboat Cove and same story there. Tons of little fish suspended. Caught all on jigs tipped with minnows only the bright colors worked though, pink, and chartreuse. Water temps ranged from 52-55. Water color was red and was very dangerous to try and navigate at much over 25 mph. If anyone is planning on going to high rock, tt, or badin, the rest of this week let me know. I'm on spring break all this week and trying to get as much fishing in as possible.

My hats off to you, I started from the state wild life landing on 2nd. creek at 9:00 am and started to the MC and changed my mind when I got close, to much trash for me. returned to the wild life landing side, water was muddy, temp 52/53, fished with light colored jigs with mostly 5"/9" results. Not wanting to sound like a big brother but I seen the logs and other trash so be careful.

When I read your title I thought you were going to post you hit a submerged log while running. Glad that was not the case. Hope it clears up before the social!. Thanks for the report.
Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!
I imagine it washed alot of the new brush on down to the dam
maybe we can have one of those log rolling contest like on espn at the social. Think we can get poppop to show us how to do it? All of us rolling on logs. Now that could win some money on Americas Funniest home videos!
hahah thanks guys you can believe I was extremely careful. wore my life jacket AND kill switch while navigating! and barely got on plane. im not sure where all this trash is going but when it gets there its going to be a mess for a long time. i would hate to be a dock owner and have to deal with all of it. there was enough logs out there to hold the olympic log rolling championships! i may go back friday or saturday not sure exactly but hopefully ill be able to find some females next time
