Sunday 2/20 Tuckertown report

Wife was out of town this weekend and scheduled to be back around 4:00, so I decided to skip church and hit the water (some people go to church and think about fishing, so I decided to go to the water and enjoy God's blessings).

Anywho, got to Tuckertown around 11:00 and fished until 2:30. I don't do much crappie fishing, and most of what I do is throwing a jig around docks. Decided to drift some minnows in 18-25 feet of water since a buddy told me he caught some that way earlier in the week.

It was slow for me-- got about a dozen crappie, mostly barely 8 inches (with a couple throwbacks). They all went back-- I had set my personal limit at 10 inches today and only had one make the cut so I released him too. Also got one monster yellow perch (coon perch) that had to weigh a pound and a half.

I normally striper fish but will definitely do more crappie fishing over the next few months.

thx 4 the report jt.jr. hadnt never fishd tt but have heard of good crappie and striper reports in the past so gonna give it a try soon..do you know anything bout stripers on that lake if and when they usually start up,,is it to early yet,,and if lower or upper lake is better? thx for any tips on tt
