I don't know how many that bird ate... but last year I fed a blue heron at least 6 ~ 6-8" crappie
and he acted like he could have eaten more. I had him where he would recognize my boat and then
he would follow me around the lake lookin' for more handouts. It was fun for a while... but he made
a nuisance out of himself before too long. I'm going to say your bird ate 5 ~ 8" crappie.

No matter how many that heron ate, I'm sure it was still unhappy about it.
I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could
LOL..I think he wanted to go fishing with ya'll.
Im sure he would have probably ate all you had if he had the opportunity. LOL
Special K, I can see that blue heron following your boat across the lake as you make a run to a new honey hole then perching on the outboard waiting for his next hand-out. Funny stuff!
CB, so that is how you know where the crappie are. You follow the herron to his secret spots catch some crappie and pay off the bird! Wow that is a great idea!
I guess 3...
How many herron can countryboy N.C. eat at one time?
cork'n crappie
That's exactly what my brother said, "You're gonna have that sumbitch landing on your outboard motor if you keep on givin' him fish"!!!
That would be funny wouldn't it?? I'll tell ya' they get very aggressive, loud and aggrevating when they recognize you as an easier and faster
food source. You can't hardly blame 'em though... I can't imagine having to fish like they do during the winter months... you know small fish
in the shallows are few and far between in the wintertime.
