    Default High Rock Help

I live in south carolina and normally fish there and post on the SC board. However, I am going out with a customer Saturday and was wondering if I could get some tips on High Rock. I normally fish downline with minnow and sometimes troll iwith tipped jigs. Any help is apreciated since this will be my first time on High Rock. Thanks for the help.

Eric - if you get into Abbott's creek, I've done well trolling jigs from the campground to the bridge to the condo's. Just run a triangle between those 3 points, with acid rain on at least half your rods & 1/16 oz. green or chart. heads. Good luck & let us know how you do.

I have not heard about water conditions lately but you will probably need to stay away from the creek mouths if the main channel is dirty and move back into the creeks. If your trolling or jigging look for structure or cover around 12-15 foot deep.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Main channel muddy with water temps from 57 - 62. Higher temp was at about 3pm. Caught a couple on jigs trolling out of mouth of cane creek. Not much action with the dirty water and winds. Made it tough to troll. Fish were caught on black/blue jigs with char tail on a char road runner head.

Thanks for the tips. Even though we did not get that many it was still a fun day on the lake.

I did see two nice size stripers caught in main channel south of cane creek. Not sure what they were using but they were running down riggers.

Skeeterguy, did not get to troll abbots creek. Trolling motor battery died before we could get there. We did motor over to check it out though. After barely getting the boat under the rr croasing (in a cc boat with no top) i will say the water in Abbott creek was MUCH clearer than any other part of water I saw. Was not clear but slightly stained.
