yeah i always thought invigorate was a fancy word for ethanol myself, far as i know most every gas station has ethanol gas in nc, just add the stabill and don't let it sit long.
I don't think BP or any other gasoline maker has anything to do with it. Ethanol is added at the pump. Its our lovely politicians that mandate it. About Ethanol, an alcohol blend gasoline made from corn/grains...

I know that the website says that they put ethanol in at the pump but they don't. How could that happen?? If that were true there would be a tank of ethanol somewhere that fed into the pump and every station will tell you there is not one. The ethanol would have to be already mixed when it arrives at the station. It is not done at the station. This could also allow more moisture to be fed into the fuel by picking it up out of the station's main tanks. I don't know where it is added but I can tell you it is not at the pump.

Its probably done when they fill the tanker truck up
1st of all let me just say I have been a gas transporter for the past 7yrs in Selma,NC. BP has 10%ethanol in all products out of the Terminal in Selma and I'm sure everywhere else . As for WILCO HESS they put the cheapest gas in their tanks and that is most often unbranded gas . I do know that the Exxon at wilsonville at Jordan lake has no ethanol in gas as of now. Just know nobody that sells 10% ethanol has to put a label on the tanks per the state of NC. Anything over 10% they have to label.
My 2 cents on the spill:
Boycotting local stations just because they have the misfortune of selling BP gas is only hurting the guy who owns the store. He didn't have anything to do with the spill.
Let me add that I think it's a disaster of unprecendented size and I am just as upset by it as everyone else. But hurting the local merchant doesn't help clean it up or prevent it from happening again.
I heard today that BP is tossing around the idea of changing their gas station name back to Amoco because of the bad press of the name BP. Getting BP off the signs at the local gas stations will show a new start and a dedication to safety.
I am not going to Boycott BP. I am with MCF. Why hurt the local business man? He is just trying to make a living.
