My question is this... what size Crappie (length and or weight) is big enough to be considered a trophy worthy of mounting? Have any of you guys ever had one mounted?... If so how big was it? Thanks... Nicole

for me, my standards have always been to mount a 3lber if i ever catch one, but size will vary based on where you are fishing, a 10lb bass in new york is treated much differently in Florida
When in doubt, set the hook.

my rule of thumb has been 3 lb crappie or a 20 lb freshwater striper
Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for

as everyone else said, its what your most proud of! way back in the day i caught my personal best largemouth which im sure i will not beat...13 lbs 5 oz. after a few pics, she was released.

ive caught a crappie that was 2 lbs 11 oz last year. thought very hard about it, but decided not to. 3 lb is my benchmark....been going on over 8 years trying to get it!

Over 3 lbs. I got one about 13 years ago at Jordon, 17.5 inches long and 3.4 lbs. Had a 2.8 lbs last year and thought about mounting it but released it . Caught one over 16 inches 3 weeks ago at norman never weight it, now wished I had, just to know .

Lots and lots of people have never seen a 2 lber so it's all in the eyes of the beholder in what they'll mount. My goal is 3 lbs personally. Alot depends on the waters you fish in and it's potential.
