Do you guys use a seperate battery for your light? My TM batts are under the center console and the cranking batt is under the rear deck. I can see myself tripping over the light cords. If so, what do you use? Lawnmower battery?

    Default Light colors

PopPop, I got 2 of the combos with the green sleeves that switch out with the clear sleeve that comes on the lights. It is easy to slide off the clear sleeve and slide on the green sleve and vice versa. I ordered a couple of the blue sleeves but haven't had a chance to use them yet. The green sleeve on the light seems to attract more bait and fish than the white light.

Thanks Feel-N-Crappie for the phone #. I think the thermacells work great. I use one at each end of the boat in case there is a slight breeze. That the repellent is moved from one end of the boat to the other.

I think I've tried about all of it. I like most of it. I have used lanterns, clip on metal lights, the submersibles and the floaters.

I like the lantern for boat light. Down side. It does draw the bugs!

I like the clip on's. I use a small generator to run these, because they are a power drain. Downside: Noise from the generator

I like the submersibles best. Quiet (use batteries), don't draw as many bugs, and can run them a long time on a charged battery.

The hat/head lights are invaluable. They cost so little for so much help.

The floaters are a pain in the ... well, I just don't like them. They pull a lot of power, get tangled in my fish and draw bugs bad.

The picture below is using the clip ons metal lights.

I do love me some night fishing!!

I purchased some 12 volt standard screw in base type compact fuoresecent bulbs from Starlux Illumination for my clip on light fixtures and they work great!

[quote=JordanLimit;1150283]I went to Lowe's and bought four of the silver clamp-on lights. I then cut the plug-in off and soldered on alligator clips.

That's what I used to do....found it easier to make up extension cords with the alligator clips....and put 4-plex box at other end.....just plug in clamp-on....with 12v bulbs...that way you can just swap out bulbs and use clamp ons in shop...
Tighten er down till ya strip it--then back off 1/4 turn..

[QUOTE=Kellog;1150554]The deal is that they are on sale right now

I just ordered two sets with the multi colored covers. I have a green submersible light but I have to add a weight. These are pre weighted. I'm really curious about the blue cover as well. I paid 92.00 for both.

A couple of Thermocells and I'm fishing. Thanks again.
