    Default Line Spooler

I put together a homemade line spooler for my spinning reels. If any of you have made one and would post pics, I would appreciate it. I would like to look at them. I am going to try and post pictures of mine. This is the first time I have tried to post pictures so if it doesn't work, just chalk it up to not knowing what I am doing.

    That looks neat!

I bought one of the berkley jobs last week, but the ends are too close for spinning reels to work well. Did like the line stripper though,,,

The spool rests on a 5/8 inch dowel, held in place by a screw. I have the line so that it comes off the spool the same as it goes on the reel. I had an old reel that I cut off, drilled a hole on the backer board on the other end. I drilled a hole through that board for the line to come through. I place a plastic bushing on two small boards, rounded the board off so the line would not catch on them. I thread the line through the bushing, the hole on the other end, tie the line on the spool on the reel. I hold the line with a wet cloth while it is spooled on. It doesn't look professional, but it really spools a reel. I just clamp it on a work table so it doesn't move around. I am going to mount it on a table that I have with some screws.
