Default Boat carpeting and seat repair recommendations?

My boat is in need of some new carpet, and some seat stitching repairs. Any recommendations within 30 miles of the Hickory area? I thought about rippin out the carpet and painting it instead. Has any one ever done this, and been pleased with the results?

What's the going rate for carpeting a small 16' bass boat - including labor? (No carpet on sides, just floor and boxes and decks.)

What's the going rate to repair 4 bass boat folding style seats with new coverings / upholstery?

    Thanks...

My son and I have thought about trying the no carpet method. Almost like a bedliner but for marine applications. Look at the link below. Hopefully there are other brands that may be cheaper.
Durabak Company; Truck Bed, Marine, Boat Ship Industrial & Workplace Non-Skid Coatings.

has a bed liner type product made for boats, when the carpet on the toon goes that is what is going back on it. As for the seats you might get by cheaper to just buy new ones, Bass pro has a sale on now:D

I don't know if it will help or not, but the Tracker I have does not have carpet. It has a vinyl on the flooring, deck and carpet down the sides. I wouldn't trade it for carpet! Just spray it, hose it off and it is clean. Once in a while I will put some protectant on it. I have had it four years and it still looks new. But then, I keep my boat inside the garage--let the car stay outside!!!
