Default Fat and Happy at Jordan

Undoubtedly the crappie are fat and happy at Jordan...at least that's what Minnowboy, I and about 20 other boats found out today. We put in at Seaforth around 9:30 am with water temps around 37 degrees and hardly any wind. It wasn't that crowded either. Thought this was going to be a great day fishing. Well it was a great day fishing but not for catching fish. We fished both sides of the bridge all the channel edges, some holes we know about and almost got skunked. Marked fish all day but no one could get them to bite. Every boat I talked to said they only had 3 or 4 fish for the day. Minnowboy finally won our standing bet with a keeper which also was the biggest fish of the day...about a 1 lb'er. Our total for the day was 4...jeese. Didn't even get to use all those expensive minnows. Gulls weren't hanging around the bridge too much...did see them on the lake but not in great numbers. Oh well...maybe tomorrow with warmer temps it will be better but the lake water is still might chilly.

Glad to know it wasn't just me. We fished this morning as well only managed 2 fish but we also moved around quite a bit trying to find them and find out what they wanted. Sadly to say and much like everyone else I can't answer either with any confidence. Maybe next time. A poor day fishing is still far better than my best day at work.

    Tight Lines.

Put me in the mix. I got 2 in the first few minutes out by the bridge, then spent the next four hours catching a few little ones, running around the lake to try and find some hungry fish.
The reason the gulls weren't around the 64 bridge is they were sitting on the ice back in White Oak and Beaver Creeks. It looked like snow a half mile away, but it was gulls by the thousands.
