Default i got the tillery blues

for a change of pace we went to tillery today, first time i've fished it in a good while, we fished all over that lake from 8 to 26' and never caught a crappie, we caught everything else in that lake but a crappie, i am confused and dismayed, i would sure appreciate some advice or maybe a clue on what we did wrong, the water was 82* this morning but by 3pm it was 89*. water was clear, we basically spiderrigged 6 rods apiece around evry drop off, flat, hump, or anywhere else we could find fish, the only thing we didn't do was fish any docks, surely the crappie aren't moved up shallow? 90% of the time we would mark fish turn the boat around drop rods and bam, white perch or bam some nasty catfish, not a single crappie, kinda bothered me. you know though it is good to have a day like this every now and then, if you caught them all the time a man might start to think he knew what he was doing.

I have only fished Tillery one time. It was for bass. Don't know much about the crappie there. However, as you stated, you can't catch them all the time. Just remember though, keep going, they gotta eat some time.

What do you know about the state park there? We have been thinking about taking another trip that way and camp there.

for the white perch just about any point or hump on the lake produced fish, just mark them and drop rods, let me know if you wonder into crappie, i always catch bigger perch on badin, just a thought.

gobbler, right now is just not a great time for rigging here local. we have gone at it for four straight weeks and have caught fish, but with poor results. i found them last week stacked up on brush. we will probably cast for a few weeks untill they move back off in greater numbers.

I have a buddy that crappie fishes Tillery and catches fish in the summer under docks. Find deep docks and shoot underneath them.
