NYS limit is 25 crappie...?
Ok we had a choppy day on the water today, but was able to drop the hammer once the school was located. My Tally for today: 30 Crappie, 9 Yellow Perch, 2 Bluegill.

Yeah, I know that's why I bring my son out with me. He's not much of a Fisherman, but the extra body means more fish kept. Thanks for your input though..Sent from my SM-G965U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app

Is that a lake with a special reg regarding starting date to keep crappie? Thought it was the 2nd Sat. in May - the 9th.
No I dont think so cause everytime I fish any of the 7 lakes guys are all over the banks Crappie fishing. Which lake are you speaking about?Sent from my SM-G965U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
It seems you kept fish out-of-season according to the NYS DEC reg. - something to consider in case DEC are around. Granted only a week away, but they can be strict with no quarter given. Also, coach your son to say he caught his share of the crappie because they will ask him. Good thing the DEC don't visit this forum or they would have grounds to suspend your license plus fines.
I haven't fished the 7 Lakes in years. May have to after your excellent catches even thought I don't keep fish. A friend did take to O & R lakes where sunnies and crappie were turned on 3 weeks ago and shore anglers cleaned up. They were also lucky the DEC wasn't around for the same reasons.
