    Default Crappie Crankbaits

Need some recommendations on good crappie crankbaits to have in my crappie tackle box. Like to have some cranks to cover different starter depths a couple 2-3 feet, 3-6 feet, 7-10 feet and 11-15 feet. The last two groups for suspended crappie in the summer months. Also what color crankbaits are successful in northern clear waters for crappie? What are your go to colors to put a crappie in the boat in tough conditions. Can't believe i'm buying crankbaits. Have boxes full for bass. Now I need to down size for crappie.

Picked up a dozen of those flicker shads 4,5,6, at a good price by today's standards at Dicks sporting goods on line. Had to hide them from the wife, already own close to 200 crankbaits for bass.

Might also pick up bandit 300's for summertime suspending crappie challenge. Prior to then probably will go with the 1.5 & 2.5 strike kings.

What lakes do you like to fish for crappie, maybe we can get together and try trolling this year. I just got a new 621 ranger it's all setup for trolling and working on setting it up for spider rigging.

    Frank,
Really don't have any experience fishing my bodies of water for crappie, since 79 probably spent 50-60 days a year on the water fishing for bass. Fishing conesus,,honeoye,Canandaigua,Cayuga, seneca, keuka,o wasco, seneca river,Oneida,Sodus,Port bay,Fairhaven,Sandy ponds,Chaumont bay and the islands from the lake to Chippewa bay. But the bays on Lake Ontario, honeoye, conesus, Canandaigua,Cayuga,Keuka and Oneida are the bodies of water I fish the most for bass. Will send you personal message.

Check out the new Arkie 350's series crankbaits. Arkie is a major sponsor of C.C and they just came out with this line of crankbaits. I fished with them all last week and they work great. Go to their website and check them out. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1429523394409.jpg
