We went fishing on Wednesday and was surprised to find that the Crappie haven't spawned yet. They have moved out to 18ft of water and are holding there. The Bass and Carp have moved into the shallows and are spawning now. The Carp have the water muddied up pretty good. All the females that we caught are full of eggs. One female was starting to dissolve the eggs back into her system. We kept 6 Crappie around 12-1/2 inches along with some bass, perch, and drum. The perch fishing will really be good for next year. There are a lot of 9-1/2 inch perch this year. I kept one that was about 11 inch's. The water temps were 76 and 77 degrees around the lake. The Crappie should have spawned around the end of April, the first of May. This is almost June so don't know if they will spawn this year. It is getting a little late for them. We caught them on jigs and minnows EB
