I'm usually pretty good about not getting dragged into post like this but jpshen76, you need a reality check brother. The way I see the incident in China is that the fella doing the sticking obviously didn't know where to stick the knife. More importantly, the way I REALLY see the situation is it's a crying shame someone wasn't armed and able to dot these folks forehead before they had the option to commit such crimes on innocent children. For the record, under the right circumstances dying isn't such a bad thing. Imagine being mutilated beyond recognition for the rest of your life, yes, a PERSON with a knife could do that to someone. The knife will not do it by itself. I appoligize up front to anyone this may offend, and if it's too harsh please feel free to remove it.

I see the current gun-ban proposals as a way to sample opinions and gauge how to best word future legislation. Politicians never let a tragedy go to waste, and this was no exception. Socialized healthcare was proposed every time a healthcare premium increase hit the news or insurance co. profits were reported. Our healthcare system needed an overhaul, and eventually enough public opinion was fooled into siding with a gov't takeover that pro-socialism politicians found it a lucrative subject to run on. Politicians are probing ways to shutter our 2nd amendment rights. Notice the ways they refer to gun owners as backwards individuals who don't see the big picture. We gun owners are being marginalized, and it is becoming popular to call us out and call us names. When half the country thinks the constitution's 2nd amendment is not the direction this country should be headed there's a gun battle coming to the D.C. Corral.

In USA, the evil with guns killed 20 children+ 6 adults in Newton, in China, the bad guy wounded 22 kids with knife, but NO ONE was killed because in China personal owing gun is illegal. Do not use the freedom as an excuse, without tough gun controls laws, simplly, the illness can posses weapons easily, and one day, the evil will turn the gun point to you without any warning/your notice.
Do yourself a favor, investigate what's going on in Africa. They're hacking up entire villages with machetes and hoes. As for the evil turning toward me, there is the highest probability that the evil just commited some weird form of suicide.

Guys, I do not own a gun YET.. Fact is I fish and do not hunt. However the recent turn of events lately especially what happened in Webster, NY {Ten minutes from where I used to live} I am thinking real hard about taking a class and getting a C&C. Here are a couple questions I have, Where exactly can I carry it? obviously on the boat, and in the Jeep --> well EXCEPT when I go to work, my daughters school, not sure about church.. do any of you carry where ever you go or only when ya go to "certain places"? Can I legally buy a hand gun for protection of my home without getting a C&C?

Oh! By the way, here is my opinion on gun control: If Money & the laws of physics allow, I should be able to buy and mount a howitzer on the jeep :< simple as that.

You can purchase a hand gun without a concealed carry permit, you just need to obtain a pistol permit from your local sheriffs office. I pesonally "carry" everywhere I go exept work, schools and in the bank. I would recomend taking the class for the CC. I have VERY strong "feelings" for this topic.....Unfortunately, @ 10 years ago, I was in a situation where if I hadn't had been carrying a weapon, I probaly wouldn't be here today. Thanks to our freedoms and rights to arm ourselves, I'm still here and there's one less criminal!

Our government don't work but my Ruger, S&W and Remington certainly do. My CCW instructor said if you dont carry everywhere then you the only one there that don't have one. He said if we see him he has one. I spell police "RUGER"!

Don't forget that when seconds count that the police are only minutes away. I guess if the unsub in Newtown had went in with a baseball bat and bashed in the skulls of 20 children you would want baseball bats banned. It is easier to carry a handgun than it is to carry a policeman. I have been an avid shooter and gun collector for 40 years and I have yet to see a gun rise up under it's own power and harm anyone. The laws that were written to protect people against criminals should be enforced to their fullest extent. More gun laws will do nothing to stop a criminal from owning a weapon that carries a high capacity magazine.
