    someone help me with this plant. found it growing in someone's yard but couldn't get them to come to the door. broke off a piece ,now need someone to id it! any ideas?

    punica granatum. aka pomegranite. It's available here and there. It's a nice landscape shrub and the fruit will be edible, although in zone 7b, you won't be able to grow the types that you see on the produce shelves. Drought tolerant. Full sun to almost full sun. Ok in Crappy (not crappie) soil.

    I think that may be the cultivar 'Nochi Shibari'

    Big Bloomers in Sanford is close to you...they sell a few varieties of Pomegranite.
