I had a friend who got one wrapped up in his prop and had to put new seals in. If he sees one and no one is around it he winds them up and throws them away

I write my boat id and contact info on the back of my buoys and most of the time the date. I feel the date is useful for ppl to know if they are active or lost/abandoned and just littering up the lake. IDK about around your area but i know a lot of ppl leave/lose/forget lots of cheep buoys and soda bottles on the lake. i normally leave buoys even if they got slime and algae growing on them, but i have been know to pick up pop bottles that look like they been out there a while just to get them out of the water.

thats crazy tho that ppl would steal them. Is it just kids stealing/moving them to mess with you or are they actually a hot commodity?
