I agree with cuz if I am holding a rod in my hand crappie fishing it a little 3 footer they handle so well. I found some shakespere combos for kids (the ones with snoopy and charlie brown on them) for 5.00 a couple years ago; threw the reels away an been using the rods ever since, luv them

Smith's Bait Tackle in Burlington had some on the counter last time I was there. I asked him why they were there and he said they were for little kids... I told him I grew up in the midwest and I knew they were ice fishing combos but if he could sell 'em for kid's combos, more power to him. Dick's may be selling them as kid's combos too.
