I wanted to stay longer but with that 19+ mpg south wind that little lake had rollers! lol I didn't make it that far back in that cove I was afraid the wind was going to beach my boat!

Glad we didn't have the tournament on the 19th then, I guess! Glad I got two permits...one for the 19th and one for the 26th. Hopefully this warm weather will speed things up.
Justin, you should go out there every night this week...light some candles and blast some Barry White. That might set the mood?

I went back out today. Wind was only moderately less than yesterday. Picked up 6. By Friday it should be on.

How are you going to do the big fish? Will everybody have to come in after the first team gets 30 to weigh their biggest? Reason I ask is because I caught 35 last night in a hour and fifteen minutes. If I would have had a partner, we would have been done in 45 minutes.

With the crappie on the bank, 2 guys should be done in less than half an hour! Maybe a weigh-in time for big fish is needed? Perhaps a group text message to alert everyone that a limit has been checked in?

Yeah, I was just thinking about that this morning...then I saw your posts. Hrm.... not sure how to handle that.
The lake is small enough that if I were to sound a horn when the first limit comes in, we should be good. Not sure how reliable everyone's cell service is out there. Mine works most of the time, but can be spotty.
Big fish might still be an issue. Any ideas?
I like Jake's idea of having a weigh in time for big fish regardless of who gets to 30 when.
The other thought is that everyone comes back in when the first limit is reached and weigh what you got?
Or just skip the big fish pot altogether and save the $5/boat? I'm curious to see the size of some of the big fish though. I know there are some dandies in there.

A: big fish is over once first limit of 30 is reached
B: big fish is over at specified time regardless of limits
