That was a good time. Thanks to all the KC yankees for making this southerner feel welcome. Ya'll have a nice lake up there. Cheers

    Default Tournament Results

Eleven boats showed up to fish the first tournament, a couple of which were new to the Smithville Crappie.Com tournament series. It was good to meet the new guys, David, Rick and Chase. Welcome guys, and thanks for coming by.

Dirty water from all the rain and the post-spawn crappie made for difficult fishing. All the people that cashed checks fished in different areas and different depths, so it was just a matter of finding fish.

Boiled down to finding seven fish to weigh. The weather was nice, but the wind could've laid down a little. But I think everyone had fun and I'm looking forward to the next one in July.

Hope to see a bunch of you out at Fat Boyz in Kearney on June 22nd from noon to 4!!

Oh, and...thanks to Downsea for helping put this together and pull it off. Thanks, to Gordon for cooking the burgers and brats. And thanks to got crappie and slab for donating some goodies to give away.

    See y'all next time!!

Sounds like you all made the best of it. Muddy water plus The Corps letting water out make for tough crappie fishing from my experience with that lake.

I do know if my buddy Lee had fished with you all he would have boated at least on trophy trash fish or two.
