Had a good turn out for our first tournament on the 2nd weekend of deer season. We had 7 boats and were able to pay two places. 1st went to Oldham/Dixon, 2nd went to Carey/DeCarlo. Big fish went to Phil Dixon. Congratulation to the winners on a very tough day of fishing. Sorry I did not get the weights to post.

I did not get the exact details from everyone but we fished brush piles in 12 to 30 foot of water and I can honestly say there were not any fish there. Tried bridges, bluffs, channel drops, shallow, deep, and everywhere in between and just did not find the fish. We used jigs and switched multiple times with no success. The fish we did catch came on orange/chart, black/chart, pink, and rootbeer/chart. The bass bite was really good and I did catch a really nice walleye. Weather was nice but the wind this morning made for tough fishing and rough ride.

I will get the next tournament posted as soon as the date is set.
