I see both sides of the trailering. I feel we would loose 25-30% of the field if we did away of trailering. I know what it cost me to make a 20+ mile run each way in the last tournament since I could not trailer to he'll save me time. Also we have guys fishing out of small boats with 10 horse power motors that can't make runs like the rest of us. These guys would not be able to fish with us if we did away with trailering. If some one has to cheat to do well in a $30 tournament they must really need the money pretty bad. One polygraph test cost more than what we payed for 2nd place last week so that is not an option. Not sure a few minutes can make that much difference. I have placed in several tournaments the last couple years and I start fishing long after everyone else has started. Sometimes we don't get to put the boat in or take off for the Osage until past the start time. Dang I might win them all of I had that extra time. I think we pick up a few teams in the spring tournaments to guys who spider rig. As for as I know only one tournament out of 6 was won rigging and they one poled part of that tournament day. I don't think that there is a team out there that did not fish this year because we allowed spider rigging. Same goes for the minnows. How many tournaments were won using minnows and how many teams did not fish with us because we allowed it. I am slowly getting everyone's screen names changed over on my points list. Some guys send checks and I don't know who they are until they tell me at weigh in. It sounds like I don't want to change anything but I am up for changing things if it will help us grow these tournaments. I also can see that as these grow and the payouts get bigger we may have to look at things to keep the honest guy honest. But the more you take away such as minnows and or trailering the more teams you will lose because they will then be just like every other tournament that does not draw many boats.

you guy's do an awesome job running them!! i like them just the way they are but if something change's well i guess that's fine to. just hope the trailering don't ever go away would be tough for us and on some other boat's as stated. keeping them simple is what make's them fun and keep's people coming out to fish them. again great job to jared and lenny and all the sponsor's that have made these tournament's fun and a success!!
why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!

forgot to add the only thing I WOULD CHANGE would be to do something different jared so that you get to fish as much as the rest of the field that's not fair to you...

x2! I wouldn't change anything. The more complicated it becomes you'll need more people to help run it. It's obvious what you did this year worked great, there was always 30+ boats except for the last tourney. If people are going to cheat, no matter what you do, they will still find a way to cheat. We've really enjoyed fishing them this year and plan to next year.

jarrod, I think you should do away with the sign ups in the morning. If someone isnt sure that they are going to fish until the morning just have them shoot you a text that they are in and will pay at the weigh in. I don't think anyone would not show up just to save $30. Then you can start at the same time as everyone else.

We like them the way they are, even though we don't rig,it's still a legal way to fish so let em be,same as those dang minner fishermen, let em fish.(haven't used a minner in years)as long as it's legal ,we have no problem with it.Keep up the good work and hopefully,my partner will be able to fish the next one.

Jarod I always fish out of Bucksaw and never do any trailering. I would be willing to help you out with the sign up to let you get on the road faster and to get a better start. I'm not always able to make every tournament but I could let you know in advance if I'm going to be there if this would help you out and allow you to get in some more fishing time.
