You all might check out how the Mississippi board runs their fruit jar tournaments, they try to get most of the lakes and people covered by having their tournys at different lakes. Just a thought.

I think everything is being done right, and everyone does a great job. To me, if someone is willing to put on a LOZ tournament, the start of the process might be to put up a Poll thread in the Tournament section and see how many are actually interested. That'll show if it's worth considering. There is a large number of members that are in close proximity to Truman and like to fish tournaments with other members. So far, other then a couple people mentioning LOZ, there really hasn't been any interest. Normally there's mixed results for even having a paid entry tournament at the LOZ camps. That would be the perfect opportunity to have one.

I doubt it's the entry fee or the location. 90% of the posts come from Bucksaw. I was scared to death my first tournament last year but once it was over I couldn't wait till the next one. Like Jared said I think we have good turn outs despite the heat. I think we have had at least a couple new teams each time. I would fish them if we had 4 boats cause you get to go head to head with the best. I wish more would not be shy and ask more questions when the winners are up in front, there is no better time to get free info and try to use it next time out. Got 3 left so hope some on the fence come on out and join the fun.

We have wanted to fish these, just to meet and talk with everyone, many good people and lots of learning to do. But our work schedules have held us back, most of the dates that were set were weekends we had to work, just the luck of the draw. Maybe next year if we could get the dates all set by say April, we can get some plans in advance, I know you had the dates made fairly early this year, but my work schedule is set 12 weeks ahead of time, and it is next to impossible to get off after that. That is just my personal situation, but it sounds like Jigging 15 is doing a great job, and putting himself on the line personally to help everyone else have a good time and do some fishing. We need to let him know we really appreciate his leadership and work in coordinating and working all of this, he is willing to take it on and do it, and eventhough he enjoys it, it is a lot of work.
smile, people always wonder what you are up to
I think that you guys are doing everything fine. Chief and myself put tournaments on across the state line. We travel to four different lakes through out the summer and the most we have had is 13. I think the two biggest things that hold people back is not wanting to be embarrassed if they don't catch fish and money. The entry fee itself is not expensive at all but for us to come down and fish with fuel alone its usually around a $100 or more.
