I got a problem with Jared...He went by us on the lake that morning with a huge smile and friendly wave...........why not stop and tell us we were fishing in shortville!! Probably didn't catch anything over 8" in there. Guess that's why he was smiling so big, he probably knew! Honestly though, great guy!!!

Matt I had caught some nice fish there end of March through April spider rigging through the trees. I think I passed everybody who fished the Grand but one 4 times. I only got to fish a couple hours but had some very nice fish once I got in the shallower water. Was nice to feel the thump again from a few big fish and get my son out on the lake. He had as much fun measuring and weighing fish and putting them in the livewell as he did fishing. We fished 20 minutes when my buddy called and said he had over slept and was at the marina. So here we go for a 25 mile round trip boat ride to get him and get back to fishing. So got to wave at a lot of people today most of which I am sure thought I was crazy whn they seen me 3 times in a half hour. Then again an hour or so later.

Glad you got to get out with your son!! I can't wait until my daughter's attention span gets a bit longer and actually enjoys fishing for more than 30 minutes. We had a good time and appreciate you all putting the tournament on! We'll do another one someday, I've got to work the next one so won't be there. We caught most of fish in Hay Creek that day. It was pretty cool to see people fishing in very shallow water and people fishing deeper as well and still catching fish. We fished the area just past the bridge, large cove, and was really surprised that we didn't catch much in there. Saw a lot of fish chasing shad though!! We didn't make it past the powerlines, however we were pretty surprised at how easy it was to navigate it! Either way, I was just kidding about you not telling us where to fish. You were more help than I could ask for and I appreciate it!

You get down sometime and I can ride with you or you can follow me and I can run you on up past the powerlines. Hay creek is a good place to fish. The little cove by U hwy bridge is also a good place at times. You did fine for first outing out of Bucksaw fishing new water.

Monty, been trying to pass some kidney stones since wed. Giving somebody $30 and fishing in the heat is a whole lot more fun.

Dex this prepaying has done you no good. I already have yours for next time but maybe I need to send it back to you and just have you come pay at the ramp. Maybe it will change your luck a little.

Jared, dont worry about the money yet, you might be right. I think Monty has cast a voodoo hex on me or sumptin.
