only striper fishing I have done was at norfolk and there it was all about the dawn patrol with anglers in front of boat looking for the stripers to attack a school of bait from below and all heck breaking loose on surface. then you would jet close to spot and all guys would throw silver spoons into the chaos and hang on. Loads of fun but action doesn't last long. then you go out looking for the next feeding frenzy.
surely someone on here has used a guide there and would be well worth the money to have a pro show you how to getrdone.

My guess is a lot of those are just advertising BS. Of course they're going to say they can put you on trophy fish. Heck...Bill promises ME that, and we can't even catch Omicron! So...if you hire someone and just expect them to put you on fish, (not necessarily trophies) you may not be disappointed.
I've heard of Big Dogs Fishing guide service but not used them.
