That's crazy that's why live pd in greene county I guess
According to 2017 crime statistics Missouri has three of the top fifteen most dangerous cities in the United States. #1 Saint Louis #5 Kansas City and what really surprised me #12 Springfield.

I didn't hear any of the politicians saying they were going to fix this problem
I lived there 37 years. Policed there. It's different now. Can't hold a candle to St. Louis & KC though.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
A lot of issues on the North Side of town in Springfield.

I imagine the police in Springfield are pretty busy; however I guarantee the cops in STL and KC can't even keep up with call load. I think some things get blown out of proportion with news traveling so fast nowadays. Crime rates in most cities have gone down over the last 20 years. I know some fairly recently retired cops that policed in the 90's and say they ran more hot calls back then, but there is probably more reporting now with cell phones and dang near everything has to be documented. I'm sure there are some police reports taken now that would have gone in one ear and out the other back in the day (and I don't mean that necessarily in bad way.) Hey in 2017 Chicago saw a decline in murders at 650!..so there you go....
