Spent a week in Canada chasing fish. Reeled in a nice yellow perch and somehow before I even touched the fish it flipped like crazy and buried a treble hook in my thumb. Fish still attached and flipping like crazy. OUCH. Started hollering for hubby to help. By the time he got to me the fish had flipped off. Thank goodness but hook was buried. To deep for us to try and get out. So he used side cutters to cut hook. Went back to cabin and was sent to dr. In next town. A little numb juice and it was out. Antibiotics, cream and bandaid. Bill was $37. That is all. I couldn't believe it. Very nice doctor and avid fisherman. His favorite fish is crappie he gets ice fishing. Sat and talked fishing for a while. Showed us a pic of his mom when he was a kid holding a pike over 60". She was 5' and fish was taller than her. He was from northern Manitoba. Will post more later on fishing trip. Still on vacation.
