    Default Rain Gear

Have been looking at the Bass Pro 100 MPH gore-tex stuff but I see a lot of mixed reviews that certain areas of it start failing after a year or so. Can anyone recommend this or any other brand of rain suite? Looking like a lot of rain in the forecast on the weekends this month so probably gonna grab something up this week.

Buddy just bought the Pro Qualifier rain gear when it was on sale from BPS. I wear Cabelas Guidewear. We fished Taneycomo the weekend before last in several hours of down pours and both suits performed very well.

I've used 100 mph gear for several years now. It's the best fishing investment I've ever made.

I was out there on Taneycomo that weekend too fishing that Elfrink tournament using my Frogg Toggs Firbelly jacket. That $50 jacket actually performed about as well as my pro qualifier I used to have, but not nearly as comfortable/flexible, so I went ahead and ordered a like-new set of the BPS 100 mph rainsuit off of ebay mainly for the bibs and figured my son can grow into my frog toggs. Arrives tomorrow, so we'll see....

I got the 100MPH un-insulated bibs a little oversized so i could layer up underneath in the cold months and still use them in the spring/summer when necessary. I use my issued gortex shell up top.

I'd definitely recommend the 100MPH stuff. Snivel gear is always worth spending a little more and getting the best you can at the time. You'll appreciate it when you need it, and the more you spend, the longer you'll go without needing to use it. I bought my bibs and probalby didn't have an occasion to use them for the better part of a year after I bought them. Just like I haven't lost power at the house once since I bought a generator several years ago.

Yesterday when at bass pro they had the pro qualifier on sale. Very little difference between it and 100 mph but it does have more storage pockets and a better set up on bib zipper when nature calls. Got that and insulated cabelas guide wear jacket. Both excellent rain wear.
