    Default Boat Covers?

Anyone know of a decent place to get a decent boat cover? I know a custom cover is more spendy than non, but...I'm sick of dropping $200 for one from Cabela's only to have it rip the first time you trailer it.

Got a rough quote from Shoreline Fiberglass in Smithville for around $45/foot. Around $750 for a 16' boat is what he said, after all was said and done.

But....supposed to be a first rate cover. Superior quality.

    That sound right?

I'm sure I paid less than $45/ft for my cover in Warsaw. American Upholstery maybe? I'll get a phone number for you.

WWW.Boatcoversdirect.com is a local company here in SC. They make and sell custom covers in a variety of materials. Sunbrella is the most pricey, but it lasts for years and years and is probably the cheapest in the long run.
They will send you samples of fabric in your color and material choice for you to see exactly what you are getting if you order it. Nice folks to deal with.

Aurora and be done. I personally know 3 guys with covers all between 5-10 years old, towed everywhere with them and they still look great. If you never want to do it again, take your boat down and come back with your lifetime cover

Aurora Canvas in Battlefield Missouri like all those above said. They have been in business for a long long time and do an absolute great job. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a quality cover. I used to be their UPS man and they would ship covers to all the major boat manufacturers and to people all over the country. Great honest people to deal with.

Aurora has always had great reviews. The boat I have came with a custom cover made at a place in Warsaw, MO. It is of great quality and is almost exactly like the factory Ranger cover I had on my glass Ranger. I think the dealer said it was a $700 cover.

I had a custom towing cover made for my Champion by a lady at Coal, MO (not Coal Canvass, I don't know much about them). That was a good while back, no idea if she is still making covers or not. $500.00 back then. The cover was excellent. Fit like a glove. It was still in great condition when I sold the boat. I had the boat 23 years, the cover 16. If she is still there she may get to make one for my Triton if the factory cover goes away.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
