I had heard he might be shutting down last summer but he was open all the way through fall. The number is 417-646-2325 if you want to call. Hope he hasn't shut down.
I'm a little concerned about my minnow supplier. The last couple of times that I've made the trip to Truman from Springfield, Fuzzy's did not have the OPEN sign lit. Does anyone know if he is still in business or not? Sure hope so 'cause if he isn't I guess I will have to drive all the way to Tightwad to get bait.

the shop goes up for auction the 20th of this month
That is one thing Truman doesn't need to lose, a bait shop. Everharts opens too late and closed Sunday. Sparrowfoot it not dependable. Tightwad C is the only steady dependable source as far as I know.
I sure wish it was a couple of year down the road, I'd try to buy it and keep a couple of retirees busy.

Unfortunately I think bait shops are becoming a thing of the past. I remember as a kid every gas station had minnows around lake of the ozarks, now there might be 2 or 3 places on the whole lake. With that being said I've always wondered how they can justify the time and space at $1.50/dozen.

For most it is as loss leader or a way to get you in the door. They hope you buy something else, gas, coke, something that will make it worth it. I would think that Everharts would make enough to have one guy in early and Sunday for three hours, 6-9am, not the entire store, use that other entrance, cash only.
