Default War Eagle 754VS Stick Steer

Does anyone have information on War Eagle 754VS Stick Steer boat. Thinking about going to looking at a new War Eagle 754VS Stick Steer. I would like to get it with a 60hp or 70hp on it. Looking into a 24 volt Minn Kota engine mount trolling motor with a 12 volt on the bow. Would like a 3500# axle on the trailer.

If it were me I would run 24 volt motors for both.

Went out boat shopping today. Looked at a nice Ranger crappie boat. Trailer had oil hubs not grease hubs. I want to look at a stick steer before buying. I do not want some salesman try talking me in to something I do not want.

i use a stick steer but its 16'/48" with only a 25hp so not near as big as what you are looking for. mine doubles as both a duck boat and a crappie rig. to me depends on what kind of reasons you want the boat. if it were up to me id have a bigger boat with a steering console preferrably (for me) a larger war eagle, excel, express something like that in aluminum. only reason i say metal boat is bc i fish the mississippi river in the summer and deer hunt it so i wouldnt want the wear and tear on a nice fiberglass ranger. i also do some shallow fishing and dip trees and stuff like that so my duck boat is perfect for this and stick steer is the way to go. now if all i was gonna do is crappie fish on bigger lakes and my boat never really touch the land then i'd own a ranger in a heartbeat. just cant afford that kind of luxury at the moment so the duck boat will have to be how i float around for awhile. i have fished out of both a 21' war eagle and also a 21' excel and both boats are comparable. also fished out of a ranger and its a very nice ride compared to a metal boat. just depends on your wants/needs/budget.

I am getting diabetic neuropathy in my feet and I am not as sure footed as I once was. Hell getting old. So I would like to sit down in a boat rather than up on a high deck. Not moving a round from steering wheel to seat would be a plus. I have a G3 Pro 170 now. Think I would like a boat with more than a 48" floor. The War Eagle 754VS has a 54" floor and it is rated for a 70hp. If I go with a steering wheel boat I like War Eagles 961 Predator boat with a 115 or 150hp.

Duane you need to check out the 861 and 961 War Eagle Predator boats. I always liked the 861 and have fished out of one with the 115 Merc. They are made with the front deck being set down and has two across seating for trolling or even jigging with two people up front. It has livewells behind the front seats and a bait well in front of you. The new 961 is a foot longer I believe and it will handle up to a 150 hp. In my opinion the 861 is more than enough boat as far as room, storage and speed. It is still #2 boat on my list of options for a new alluminum rig.
