it probably wont work great while hunt because of scent, but wile hanging stands I treat my clothes with permethrin and spray body with picariden. sawyer makes them..also keeps the chiggers away. I'm a chigger magnet. it was developed for military for all over the world.

not a bite on the Colorado river , boundary waters, teal marsh, etc.

Sawyer makes both. hard to beat.

They are really bad this week. I guess with all the rain and warm weather the population has exploded. I have been walking most mornings at daylight. This is the first week they have really bothered me. I gave up this morning. Thermacell works great when setting still. I got one of the Off clip ins. They work pretty good when stationary but not walking. I don't want to spray down every morning to just walk.

the Sawyer stuff I referenced above goes on almost dry with no oily residue. you wont know the permethrin is on your clothes. I sleep in a sleeping bag with both and there is no stickiness. also OFF! has some stuff that pretty much goes on dry. ive used this stuff in places that make our misquitos look like nothing with great success with no bites , no oily residue, no burning. Picariden is the greatest invention EVER! there is no reason to let bugs spoil the ourdoors anymore

Because of your post, I investigated this stuff, and ended up buying some. Haven't tried it yet (haven't had the need) but...I'm looking forward to giving it a go. Thanks, HuskerCrappie
